MEAT & Livestock Australia (MLA) is looking for three non-executive directors.
Its board provides guidance and oversight of the management and performance of MLA in delivering its strategy.
This year, as part of the board selection process, three non-executive directors are to be elected – with applications closing on June 8.
MLA’s board is skills based, with nine directors including eight non-executive directors and the managing director.
Directors are nominated through the selection committee and appointed by members at MLA annual general meetings for a three-year term, with retiring directors able to nominate for re-election.
Candidates with extensive skills and experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
* Extensive knowledge of modern livestock supply chain systems, product integrity and value adding.
* Knowledge and connection across the agri-food industry including knowledge of RDC obligations and functions.
* Practical experience and understanding of sustainability frameworks and improvement opportunities.
