Future of farming assured with great turnout at Field Days

MORE than 120 exhibitors are displaying their wares at the 72nd Mildura Field Days.

Preparations were delayed this year due to site accessibility, but the committee overcame those obstacles to deliver the event in full.

Mildura Field Days Coordinator Jo Rodda said plenty of families have been out viewing new industry developments, ideas and products.

“We’ve been thrilled with the number of people who’ve come through the gate today, its really busy, there’s lots of school groups, it’s fabulous,” Ms Rodda said.

“The field days has a particular focus on introducing children to agriculture, because we understand if we don’t then we don’t have a farming future.

“To see the amount of school kids that have been here today, it’s absolutely amazing.”

The 2023 Mildura Field Days will continue at the Mildura Racecourse, 53 Racecourse Road, Nichols Point on Saturday. Admission is $10 per person,

aged concession $5, students and children under 18 free. Cash and eftpos is available at the entry gates. Cash out is available at the site office. It is open 9am to 40pm.
