Students harvest benefits

CITRUS Australia’s Market Outlook Forum this month lent a hand to local students keen on a future in the industry.

About a dozen Mildura Senior College students joined the forum’s farm tour before going on to hear key industry speakers and join guest talks at lunch with members of the industry to explain all the different roles and jobs in agriculture, and the many opportunities for all skill sets.

The farm tour was held on the Tuesday before the conference and visited FPG’s packing shed and orchard and the Nutrano Produce Group orchard near Nangiloc.
