GrainGrowers annual survey looks at RD&E

GRAINGrowers is asking growers to have their say on the issues impacting their farm by completing this year’s Annual Policy Survey.

The survey covers topics such as biosecurity, climate change, pests and research, development and extension.

The survey results direct GrainGrowers’ policy efforts and priorities over the year ahead and are communicated to MPs and government decision makers to highlight grower issues.

Last year more than 600 growers across the country took part in the survey, sharing their views on the grains industry and highlighting issues and opportunities they see on their farms.

This year’s 15-minute survey asks questions about the Grains Research and Development Corporation and its draft RD&E strategy.

This strategy is reviewed every five years.

Last year’s survey highlighted input costs and availability as challenges for growers.

GrainGrowers will hold a round table next month with the Federal Agriculture Minister and industry and science leaders to develop tangible solutions to problems.

Responses completed by March 6 will be entered into a draw for the chance to win one of two MasterCard gift cards valued at $1000 each.

The survey is at survey.thinkfieldpanel.com.au/tf/33252GL.
