EMMA Germano has been re-elected as Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) president following the peak industry body’s recent elections.
She will be joined at the helm of the organisation by vice-president Danyel Cucinotta.
VFF acting returning officer Brendan Tatham congratulated the successful candidates, saying he “looked forward to working with them and the wider VFF team to help deliver for farmers and regional Victorians in the coming years”.
“The VFF would like to acknowledge and thank all candidates for the positions and encourages them to continue to contribute to the VFF and the farming community into the future,” Mr Tatham said.
“The VFF also thanks all outgoing office bearers for their contributions and helping to facilitate succession in the VFF to the next generation of leaders.”
Other elected officers are VFF United Dairyfarmers of Victoria president Mark Billing and Livestock Commodity Council councillor Bradley Venning.
The VFF also announced the uncontested election of livestock president Scott Young and vice-president Peter Star, who has also been appointed as a VFF board livestock representative.
North east region councillor Natasha Lobban, Corangamite region councillor Lachlan Barclay and East Gippsland region councillor Trent Anderson were also elected.
