A new $4.6 million research project led by the University of Adelaide, in collaboration with the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI), is set to provide Australian graingrowers with new tools and management techniques to combat snails, aiming to minimise losses and improve market opportunities for affected crops.

Exotic snail species established in Australia as early as the 1920s have become major pests of grain crops.
